Solstice Equine Bodywork welcomes 2021!

Happy New Year to all, with a sigh of relief and a flutter of hope that our challenges lessen and we come together to enjoy our horses and each other.

This transition to a new calendar date has additional joy for me. Welcome to Solstice Equine Bodywork! The past few years have been dedicated to an intense and inspired journey to my goal of earning certification in the Masterson Method of equine bodywork. As a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner (MMCP) I am now able to offer you an additional service as well as equine massage therapy. The new name represents this wider range of services.

It was my intention to spend most of this day reconfiguring this web site and adding information regarding this new business. I was going to sit down at this computer after I fed my horses. Well, I decided my horses needed bodywork after they finished their grain. Then I walked through a friend’s barn and decided one of her horses was asking for some bodywork as well. After that I drove to the rescue to work on this beautiful Belgian, Hayzel, whom I am donating my services to (more about her soon).

I am home and momentarily at this computer before leaving to… see more horses. And that has been my habit all along. What is new in 2021 is that I have recognized that I need help with enlivening this website. I asked for help and I’m receiving it. Life is good!

This coming week will be filled with expanding this site and I hope that you check back to see what is new. The reason it will evolve is the expertise and inspiration provided by Kristen. Here is a picture of her, smiling with expectation. That is Cloudd giving her a smooch of gratitude.

Happy New Year to all,

Who I am Every horse benefits from therapeutic massage. Every horse matter to me. I have long understood the importance of muscular health for comfort and performance. As a physical therapist, with an interest in sports medicine, I served people. After rescuing and rehabilitating my first horse, nearly 10 years ago, I knew I wanted to practice equine massage therapy. I witnessed the healing it promoted in my horses and am determined to offer my services to as many other horses as I can. It is an honor and a delight to work on your horse. Ruta
